I wanted to have a bit of a chat today about cleaning your Silcskin Pads.
I’ve had some conversations lately with a few of your beautiful selves who’ve told me you’re not really washing your pads and tend to throw them away after they get mucky.
While that’s all well and good – you know that regularly washing (about once a week) will give them the most life possible right?
Not kidding – so many of you who look after them, get in excess of 90 days use out of your Decollette Pads so it really makes sense to clean them and clean your skin beforehand. I hasten to add that’s not going to be everyone – but regardless if you look after them, they will last longer. Fullstop.
So that brings me to our Silcskin Cleanser

It was invented – specifically to clean BOTH the surface of the pads – and to prepare your skin beforehand. I use this cleanser as my regular skin cleanser now – because it is so economical. When companies say – you need only use the size of a pea or something of that ilk; i usually find myself thinkng – it must be on steroids that pea!
But the Cleanser is just a different matter. So little – goes So far! It will last you So long!
It will remove the impurities embedded in your skin – which will mean the pad can adhere to your skin as it should. It also means that reduced residue will be pulled from your skin which won’t then embed on the surface of the pad.
And it is so effective at removing the buildup on the surface of your pad when you do wash them, that the pad can then in turn adhere so effectively to your skin. There’s just so many benefits to this cleanser.
We cannot and do not recommend any cleansers over and above our Silcskin Cleanser OR laundry soap (NOT regular soap)!
The majority we’ve investigated over the years contain substances which break down the silicone. Please just don’t do it.
They can and do render your pads ineffective. This is outlined in the instruction sheet we send with every single order.
